There is a reason we all know what the "freshman fifteen" is. As our lives change and we adapt to new environments our lifestyle choices also change. However, it is important to find a way to incorporate some type of physical fitness activity into each day. As a senior, I have mastered some easy ways for college kids to stay fit. One of my favorite ways I choose to stay fit is to never allow myself to drive to class. Walking to class is a great way to start the day because it will wake people up both physically and mentally. For students who live off campus, they can park their car in a parking garage and still walk to class. Another great form of physical fitness for college students is on campus gyms because all students have access to them so while people are working out they can also get to know their peers. For any students who you used to play in sport or always wanted to play a sport I would highly recommend playing for your school's club or intramural teams. I played soccer throughout my childhood up until college and last semester I joined an intramural soccer team. Looking back that was one of the best decisions I have made and I plan on playing again next semester. Remember that everyones fitness journey looks different and it is important to find one that works for you.
